Two decades have passed since Titanic’s cinematic release and some fans still haven’t forgiven Rose for not sharing the door with Jack or for then letting go of his hand. There’s no way I would have let go of circa-1997 Leonardo DiCaprio, that’s for sure.
Titanic is a beautiful love story that ultimately ends in tragedy – romance movies don’t get more realistic than that. However, despite being the second-highest grossing movie of all time, when compared to other films, there are far fewer Titanic tattoos online. Perhaps the 20th anniversary will spur some fans to take the plunge and get inked.
And, love or hate her, you can’t deny the amazing vocal performance of Celine Dion for Titanic’s theme tune ‘My Heart Will Go On’. If you plan on getting yourself a Titanic themed piece, I think it calls for a little sing-a-long with your tattoo artist, just for the hell of it.
The actual 20th anniversary of Titanic may still be a couple of months away but, by the time you’ve finished checking out these tattoos, then re-watching this epic movie, the day will be upon us.
