Literary Ink: The World’s First Tattoo Convention For Potterheads

This March, Main Line Ink and Griffin Salve are bringing together 70-plus tattoo artists for three magical days. Chattanooga, Tennessee will play host for this world first: Literary Ink, a Harry Potter themed tattoo convention.

The event organisers invite you to join them as they “…create, exhibit, and celebrate the intersection of literary fantasy and artistic magic.”

There will be 70+ talented tattooers in attendance, all tattooing live throughout the weekend. While they’re predominantly American tattoo artists, Australia’s own, Ebony Mellowship is making the trek to the US.

If you get tattooed at Literary Ink then you have the opportunity to enter your new piece in the tattoo competitions. For details of tattoo categories, cost, and instructions on how to enter, click here.

And, if you plan on bringing along little people, who are far too young to get inked, there’s plenty of things for them to enjoy. In addition to vendors and other (non-tattoo) artists, there will be live performances, and even a scavenger hunt. Don’t forget to come in your favourite cosplay outfit!
