A new year means the Australian Tattoo Expo will be making its way around the country. The first stop of 2018, and as always, is Sydney.
The expo will feature hundreds of artists who specialise in a range of styles. While many accept walk-ups, to avoid disappointment, your best bet is to book your appointment in advance.
Were you disappointed that you’re unable to make the trek to the US for Literary Ink? Well, it just so happens that the Australian Tattoo Expo – Sydney is on the same weekend, March 9 -11. That means you can still get that Harry Potter tattoo you’ve always wanted.
Also, if you’re new to tattooing or this is the first tattoo expo that you’ll be attending, then I suggest that you give this post a read before buying your tickets.
Now, here’s all the information you need about the Australian Tattoo Expo.
ARTISTS + WHAT’S ON
Their website is currently being updated, so keep an eye out on Facebook or Instagram when they announce the artists attending and a schedule of activities.
Most likely, there will be tattoo competitions across the whole weekend, along with some entertainment on the main stage – in the past they’ve had the Fuel Girls.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
As always, if you purchase through the online pre-sale, you can save up to $45 off your tickets.
Single Day $29 (save $6)
2 Day Pass $55 (save $15)
3 Day Pass $70 (save $45)
Tickets available the door:
Concession (single day) $20

I assume this means children 11 and under are admitted for free, but it’s best to double check with the organisers.
